Independent Reading
Students should spend 20 minutes on their choice of independent reading a day. They can read books at home or use Cobb Digital Library to access ebooks or online articles. Then they can spend 10 minutes responding to what they read. They can write a summary, answer questions (if available with their chosen reading), write about the theme, or write about main idea. These responses could be written in a journal or typed on the computer.
